實驗室第一篇自產的paper
"Direct MinE–membrane interaction contributes to the proper localization of MinDE in E. coli"
在這期的Mol Microbiol上

MinE-membrane interaction這件事很有趣
可惜的是
它們彼此間的interaction strength並不強
而且它的生理意義相當elusive
我個人對MinE-membrane interaction的想法也仍十分保留
[不過最近日本有個group作simulation的結果也認為這件事是重要的
因為是獨立於我們的lab work而且反應擴散模擬看起來不錯
讓我的態度比較沒那麼保守了XD]

一年半前老闆把相關結果投到Cell時
reviewers的看法是interesting but immature
中間歷經了Mol Cell, Science, and PNAS
最後終於把部分結果弄上了Mol Microbiol
雖然Mol Microbiol的IF只有5.2
但也是bacterial cell biology這領域在PNAS下最好的期刊了
此外剛剛發現Faculty of 1000 Biology也選了這篇paper
算是好消息吧
